I’m Donna, and I’ve been trusted by couples planning their destination Tahoe weddings since 2005. I feel blessed to live in Nevada County which is home to the quaint historic towns of Truckee, Nevada City, Grass Valley, and parts of North Lake Tahoe, all nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains.
My main objective is to assist you with creating a beautiful, cohesive, organized, and stress-free wedding filled with joyful experiences that your family and friends will be raving about for years to come!

Joy of Life Events was established in 2005 and I has since planned and designed hundreds of weddings and events in Northern California including Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Nevada City and Grass Valley.
I’m a Certified Professional Wedding Planner, with over 30 years of education and experience in the hospitality industry. I possess in-depth industry knowledge and experience that ensures seamlessly planned and executed events.
I have produced the annual Grass Valley Wedding Fair, A Wedding Affair for all Seasons for the past 10 years which has given me the opportunity to work with over 500 local wedding professionals. These relationships along with valuable knowledge of their services helps me to connect the perfect vendor team with my clients.

Because events (particularly weddings) are so immersive and time-consuming I only take on a limited number of events per year to ensure the integrity of my services.
