Happy Birthday Mom
Source of my Joy
With gratitude and a joyful heart, I dedicate this first posting on my Blog of Joy to my mom.
Today is her birthday and although she is no longer with us, her love and gentle spirit continue to inspire me.
My mother believed in me, encouraged me and always dreamed of the best for me. She loved my siblings and I with the unconditional love we all needed. She treasured all of her grandchildren with a love so deep that it is still felt today. Her character, warmth and joyful spirit are all things that still inspire me and make me proud to be her daughter.
My mother loved birds and in many ways her spirit reflected that of the gentle creatures. They work hard, sing joyfully and protect and nurture their young. My logo includes a bird in honor of that spirit. My mother was also proud of her Polish heritage that she felt contributed to her kindness and hard work ethic. These are characteristics she instilled in me and I try to bring to all I do.
So today, This 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day, December 7th, 2017 I pause to share with you one of the sources of my Joy, My mother, Geraldine Ann Nice. She was taken from us too soon.
Love and miss you Mom, with all my Heart ~donna
